My name is Ron Blackmon and it is a privilege and honor to have you visit our Music to Motivate web site.
I have been associated with Mary Kay cosmetics for 37 years. My wife is National Sales Director JO ANN BLACKMON and our daughter was the #1 Director in the Sapphire Seminar at Seminar 2005, ROBIN BLACKMON-DUNDA! As you can tell I am a proud husband and father of my BLACKMON girls.
In the early days of Mary Kay everyone would sing “Mary Kay songs” at their meetings. These songs consisted of popular tunes with substituted Mary Kay words. At Seminar each year there was even a Song Writing Contest. |

From the mid 70’s to 80’s most of the music played at Seminar, Jamboree and other corporate events was organ music played
by a fellow by the name of Jerry Ward.
A 78 rpm record with these songs was in each new Consultant’s beauty case. Jo Ann would play these songs for motivation and Robin (daughter) and our (son) Ron, Jr. would listen and started singing along with the songs!
I first started playing music for my wife at her Success Meetings
on a tape recorder. | |

Eventually, I started playing UPBEAT, HIGH ENERGY MUSIC that I compiled on CDs and the Consultants LOVED IT!! As time went by other Directors came to me and asking for music to
play at their meetings. |

I did what I need to do legally (license, etc.), and MUSIC TO MOTIVATE started; now I could share with all the Consultants, Directors and Nationals!! Actually, this music MOTIVATES EVERYONE!
I feel so blessed as a Mary Kay “kept man.” I have been fortunate to travel the world with the EXCEPTIONAL and OUTSTANDING leaders and their husbands in the Mary Kay world.
